ZAGREB, June 8 (Hina) - Today's daily Vjesnik carries on the front page a report on a visit of Slovene President Milan Kucan to Croatia headlined "Croatian-Slovene relations based on long-term interests." The paper brings statements by President Kucan and President Tudjman after their meeting. Kucan also met with Prime Minister Valentic and it was announced that a Croatian Government's delegation would visit Slovenia in the end of June or at the beginning of July. Vjesnik also carries a report on Kucan's talks with the Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Franjo Kuharic, and on a lecture Kucan delivered yesterday in Zagreb. Vjesnik brings a report on fierce fighting on the right bank of the Drina river near Gorazde. The paper carries an article on Geneva peace talks between the B-H Federation and Bosnian Serbs headlined "Akashi: Agreement can be reached only by miracle." Another Zagreb daily Vecernji List focuses on Kucan's visit. An article about the meeting between the two presidents says that there should be no territorial requests in relations between the two countries. The paper brings a report on a meeting between Kucan and Prime Minister Valentic under the headline "Big problems but solvable." Today's Vecernji List carries a report on Geneva peace talks saying that head of the rebel Serbs in Croatia Martic agreed on the resumption of negotiations with Croatian authorities.
