GENEVA, May 22 (Hina) - Advisor Minister in Croatia's mission to
the UN in Geneva, Neven Madey, today conveyed the appeal of
Community of displaced Croats from northern Serbian province of
Vojvodina.
The Community, gathering around 15,000 people, asked for
urgent international community's action in order to stop racist-
styled violence and barbarities in the Croat populated villages of
Vojvodina, such as Hrtkovci, Kukuljevci, Golubinci, Surcin and Bac.
The appeal was forwarded to the President of International Red
Cross Committee, Cornelio Sammaruga, to UN High Commissioner for
Human Rights, Jose Ayala-Lassou, UN special rapporteur Tadeusz
Mazowiecki, and to UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Ms. Sadako
Ogata.
