BELGRADE MOVES SERBS FROM W. SLAVONIA INTO STILL OCCUPIED CROAT AREAS

AREAS BELGRADE, May 22 (Hina) - Belgrade authorities accommodated 1,600 Serbs who had left western Slavonia on their own will, in the town of Srijemska Mitrovica in northern Serbian province of Vojvodina yesterday. The authorities intend to move the refugees into temporarily occupied Croatian areas - eastern Slavonia and Baranja. Belgrade radio broadcast last night that already 400 of Serbs who had left western Slavonia, were now provided with sheltered housing in Sid, at the very border with Croatia, and the nearby occupied Croatian town of Tovarnik. One of Croatian Serb rebel leaders, Borislav Mikelic, told Belgrade radio that one of the urgent tasks to accommodate those 'refugees'.
