ZAGREB, May 17 (Hina) - On Wednesday the Croatian government sent
to the Parliament a list of proposals on amendments of the Amnesty
Act for those who committed criminal acts during armed clashes and
the aggression against Croatia. The amendments should be discussed
in an urgent procedure.
The government proposes that the period of amnesty be extended
to May 10, 1995.
According to the current act, the amnesty included
perpetrators in time from August 17, 1990 to September 25, 1992.
The government explained their proposal with their wish to
normalize the situation in the country.
