ZAGREB, May 2 (Hina) - "The Croatian government is resolute in the
implementation of the stabilization programme," Prime Minister
Nikica Valentic stressed at a government session today.
Deputy Prime Minister Borislav Skegro informed the session of
the Croatian government and National Bank visit to the
international banking institutions in Washington and New York.
Representatives of the International Monetary Fond, the World
Bank and the Chemical Bank expressed their support to the
government stabilization programme, Skegro said.
Skegro further said that retail prices in April were higher by
0.7 percent than in March because of the high prices of some
agricultural products, while the prices of industrial products were
lower by 0.5 percent than in March.
The Croatian government supported a draft programme for the
revival of farming in Croatia, and discussed several legal
proposals of parliamentary representatives.
