SARAJEVO, Feb 27 (Hina) - UNPROFOR Sarajevo headquarters today
blamed Serbs for yesterday's cease-fire violation in Sarajevo which
wounded two children.
An UNPROFOR spokesman said it had been irrefutably confirmed
that Serb snipers fired at the Sarajevo suburb of Dobrinja wounding
two boys aged 13 and 14. The boys are not in critical condition.
UN military observers have reported an increasing number of
armed incidents in the entire Sarajevo area in the last 24 hours.
UNPROFOR officials say that such incidents could be tied to
Turkish president Demirel's planned visit to Sarajevo - which has
since been postponed because of uncertain security.
Meanwhile an UNPROFOR driver was fired at, at a Serb check
point along a road which links Sarajevo to the airport.
An UNPROFOR spokesman said the UNPROFOR vehicle came under
fire just after it had passed a point which Serbs illegally
control.
