A BRIEF LOOK AT CROATIAN PRESS ON TUESDAY

ZAGREB, Jan 31 (Hina) - The front page of today's VJESNIK leads with an article headlined "President Tudjman receives Z-4 Group draft plan" on a meeting between the Croatian President and Z-4 Group Ambassadors. The paper announces a session of the Croatian Parliament House of Representative, and carries a report on Foreign Minister Mate Granic's visit to Austria and his meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Alois Mock. Vjesnik includes a detailed report on a press conference given by the President's Chief of Staff Hrvoje Sarinic regarding the Z-4 Group draft plan for Croatia, under the headline "Croatia to Control Its Borders." The paper includes an article on pressure being exerted on Croatia, headlined "The Masters of War in Belgrade". "If there is another war, it is obvious that it will be provoked by Serbs and not by Croatia's decision to cancel the UNPROFOR mandate", the article says. "Only political dreamers (in Croatia) and cynics (in the West) talk about how to save the territorial integrity of Bosnia- Herzegovina. The facts, however, show that Bosnia ceased to exist a long time ago and that it will never exist as a unified state.
