SISAK, Jan 24 (Hina) - In line with the December 2 Economic
Agreement, talks are continuing today on the reopening of the oil
pipeline through UNPA Sector North.
A group of Adriatic oil pipeline experts, including officials
from the Sisak Terminal, this morning resumed talks on reopening a
64km stretch of the pipeline through UNPA North, chief engineer at
Sisak Terminal, Ante Bobetko, said. The group met with local Serbs
and representatives of the so-called 'oil industry of Krajina' in
occupied Petrinja.
The first talks on this issue were mediated by the Danish
UNPROFOR battalion last Saturday when the methods of how a joint
commission would operate were agreed on.
Today's talks will concentrate on the inspection of the block
stations at Hrastovica near Petrinja, at Prekopa near Glina, at
Satornja near Topusko, at Vrginmost, Vojnic and Krnjak, Bobetko
said.
In line with an UNPROFOR-mediated agreement, we have delivered
to local Serbs parts to repair damaged vents at a block station,
Bobetko said. He stressed that the Croatian side had fulfilled is
obligations under the Economic Agreement. He said preconditions had
been created for the immediate reopening of the oil pipeline
through occupied Banovina and Kordun in UNPA North.
