and vice president. Edhem Bicakcic, a member of the leading Muslim Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and one of the party's presidents, was appointed as new Federation Prime Minister.

SARAJEVO, 18 Dec (Hina) - The House of Representatives of the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina Assembly on Wednesday confirmed
the composition of the second Federation government, which was
proposed by the Federation's president and vice president.
Edhem Bicakcic, a member of the leading Muslim Party of Democratic
Action (SDA) and one of the party's presidents, was appointed as
new Federation Prime Minister. #L#
Until his appointment to the post of Federation Premier,
Bicakcic was general director of Elektroprivreda BiH and one of
close associates of the Bosnian Presidency President Alija
Izetbegovic.
The outgoing premier Izudin Kapetanovic was appointed as
Minister of Power Industry, Industry and Mining. Drago Bilandzija,
a candidate of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, remained at the post of Vice Premier and Finance
Minister.
Ante Jelavic, head of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO)
logistical headquarters, was appointed to the post of Defence
Minister. Sakib Mahmuljin, until recently commander of the Bosnian
army third corps, remained at the post of Deputy Defence Minister.
The new Federation government will have a new Interior
Minister. Mehmed Zilic, head of security in the Bosnian army second
corps, was appointed as Interior Minister.
Jozo Leutar remained at the post of Deputy Interior Minister.
There have been no major changes in other ministries.
Federation President Kresimir Zubak stated that experts and
experienced people had been appointed into the new government.
