A statement, issued on Wednesday by the U.S. Embassy in
Sarajevo said that the U.S.A. greeted the decision on the
appointment of new key officials in the Federation Defence
Ministry.
According to the statement, the Federation President Kresimir
Zubak informed Pardew that he had accepted Defence Minister
Vladimir Soljic's resignation on 19 November. Zubak also informed
Pardew about Premier Kapetanovic's proposal of 20 November to
remove Hasan Cengic from the post of Deputy Defence Minister.
On the basis of those facts, Pardew proposed that the ship
'American Condor' return to Ploce port and start unloading the
weaponry intended for the Federation, within the framework of the
U.S. 'Equip and Train' program.
