to the Croat-Muslim Federation army, were unloaded after three days from 'American Condor'.
PLOCE, 25 Nov (Hina) - The U.S. ship 'American Condor' left Ploce
port around 4 p.m. Monday, after weapons and military equipment
worth 100 million dollars, donated by the American government as
part of the 'Equip and Train' program to the Croat-Muslim
Federation army, were unloaded after three days from 'American
Condor'. #L#
The ship 'Sondos' of United Arab Emirates is to enter the
Ploce port after the departure of 'American Condor'.
'Sondos' is carrying 36 105-mm cannons and larger amounts of
other military equipment. The ship has waited for the departure of
the U.S. ship for several days.
Several other ships carrying weapons for the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, are to enter the Ploce port until the beginning
of December. Other donors for the 'Equip and Train' program are
Turkey, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and
Malaysia.
The weapons, which arrived on 'American Condor' have been
entrusted to the Croatian Railways Transport Agency and several
transport companies from Ploce.
Four special wagons for the transport of tanks will arrive
from Split. A train carrying military equipment will arrive in
Sarajevo at the middle of this week. After five years, this will be
the first train journey between Ploce and Sarajevo, and it will
mark the opening of the Ploce-Sarajevo railway line.
It is expected that a 15-truck convoy, carrying ammunition,
will leave Ploce tomorrow for an army range near Livno, southern
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
