TUZLA, Nov 10 (Hina) - Eight big explosions destroyed eight houses
in two villages in a separation zone in northern Bosnia last night.
The explosions were recorded at 11:00 p.m. Saturday by the
International Police Task Force (IPTF).
The Tuzla-based IPTF office reported on Sunday that Moslem
refugees should have returned to the houses in the villages of Brod
and Omerbegovaca (near Brcko).
A spokesman for the IPTF in Tuzla described the incident as
one of the worst since the NATO-led IFOR troops arrived in Bosnia
to enforce the peace. Spokesman Andrea Agnelli could not say who
was responsible for blowing up the houses. However, he added, three
days before IFOR troops caught several Serb civilians transporting
explosive devices illegally.
An investigation into the incident is being under way, and
local authorities, IPTF and the IFOR military police are involved
in the probe.
