The AID is a service which has a task of protecting the
constitutional system and was established immediately after the
establishment of the Federation Interior Ministry.
The Croat side categorically opposed the establishment of such
an institution on the level of the Bosnian state, recalling
constitutional resolutions from Dayton which envisaged that
interior affairs be in the exclusive authority of the entities.
Within the framework of talks on the transferal of authority
from the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina to the Federation, it was
requested that the Law on AID be completely annulled.
The Bosniac-Moslem side asked that the cooperation with
Interpol and the International Crimes Tribunal in the Hague be
carried out on the level of the central state authority, as well as
the fight against crime between entities, terrorism ad drug
trafficking.
They also asked that the border police be administered on the
same level.
