TUZLA, 30 April (Hina) - One civilian was killed and the other
seven were wounded when Muslim refugees tried to enter the
territory in the Bosnian Serb entity in northern Bosnia yesterday.
The international Implementation Force (IFOR) for Sector
North-East in Tuzla said in a statement today that the incident
happened near an IFOR check-point seven km north-east of Doboj.
According to the statement, a group of Muslim refugees who
wanted to visit their homes lost patience and tried to by-pass the
check-point and go through an obstacle made of barbed wire, in
order to cross over to the territory of the Serb entity.
Eight persons were wounded in the incident, probably because
they activated mines on a mine-field. One of the wounded died
later.
