The visit was organised by the United Nations Transitional
Administration in Eastern Slavonia (UNTAES). The visitors were
secured by the Croatian and UNTAES police force.
UNTAES spokeswoman Piper Campbell said that there had been no
problems during the visit, except for verbal attacks by some 40
Vinkovci residents at the end of the visit.
First patrols of the UNTAES civil police started on Monday and
they included visits to the occupied villages of Ostrovo and
Tordinci.
