SISAK, April 18 (Hina) - Croatian police said on Thursday that they
had arrested two members of Serb paramilitary forces who had been
in hiding since Croatian armed forces crushed Serb rebellion in
central Croatia in August last year.
The two men, Milorad Padezanin and Milan Ivankovic, were
arrested in separate police actions on April 15 in two villages
near Vojnic, Sisak police chief Vladimir Milankovic told a press
conference in Sisak, about 50 km southeast of Zagreb.
Padezanin, aged 37, who joined Serb paramilitary forces in
October 1991, was arrested in his house in Podselo while Ivankovic
was apprehended in Ivankovic Selo.
The two men were handed over to an investigative judge of the
Sisak County Court.
