PULA, April 17 (Hina) - Croatian police on Monday arrested Sinisa
Stracabosko for the murder of former Tourism Minister Anton Marcelo
Popovic, Interior Minister Ivan Jarnjak told a press conference in
Pula on Wedesday.
Stracabosko, aged 34, also known as Rambo, confessed to
killing Popovic from an ambush at 20.45 hours on March 27 in Vrsar
near Pula.
Stracabosko said that he had been hired by Sime Medanic, aged
39, to kill Popovic for 15,000 German marks.
Medanic, who has also been arrested, owed a large amount of
money for diso bar rental to a company of which Popovic had been
director.
After committing the murder, Stracabosko left Croatia but was
apprehended by Interpol in Austria and transferred to Croatia.
