After the hearing of two suspects in the past two days, two
other suspects gave their testimonies today before the Zadar County
Tribunal. They refused to admit taking part in the activities they
had been charged with.
After the prosecutor reminded them of their earlier
testimonies, given during premilinary investigation proceedings, in
which they admitted some of the charges, one of the suspects said
that the whole indictment was in truth a police frame-up, that he
did not remember what he had been asked and what he had answered,
and that, after the arrest, the police had tortured him worse than
if he had been a Chetnik.
The hearing of the other four suspects was postponed until the
middle of next week.
