The action, called "Dove", was initiated by the Alliance of
refugees from Vukovar and citizens of Trogir, the "Vukovar
Fraternity".
The coordinator, Mirjana Vojvodic, expressed her wish that the
refugees return to their homes as soon as possible, "under an olive
branch and Croatian insignia".
A "book of citizens" would be open in all Croatian towns,
where all those who wanted to be enlisted as citizens of Vukovar
would sign up. After the return of refugees, the books would be
kept in Vukovar, Vojvodic, said.
President Franjo Tudjman was suggested as president of the
"Dove" Organization Board, and Cardinal Franjo Kuharic as spiritual
leader.
