A group of several hundred Serb civilians blocked the road
between Banja Luka and Dubrave and prevented the return of Bosniacs
who were allowed to return to their homes by a court decision.
According to a report by the international police, the
gathered Serbs were hostile towards international representatives
as well, but there was no serious intervention by IFOR.
According to the report, a woman who shot in the air was
wounded.
The three Bosniac families were among 32 families expelled
from their homes in the wider Banja Luka area in December 1995.
The Banja Luka court allowed their return and the Serbs living
in their houses agreed with the decision as well.
UNHCR representatives hold that the incident shows how
difficult the process of return would be, especially to those areas
which belong to the other entity.
