ZAGREB, March 12 (Hina) - After an extensive discussion, the
Croatian Parliament House of Counties on Tuesday supported the
Final Bill on reconstruction and the Bill on return of displaced
persons, which was adopted at the last session. #L#
'It was Croatia's duty to create conditions for the return of
all displaced persons to their homes. This cannot be achieved by an
administrative order, but it can be achieved by measures aimed at
stimulating the return', Reconstruction and Development Minister
Jure Radic said a the beginning of the session.
The program of return consists of five to six separate parts
which concern the reconstruction of homes and infrastructure as
well as of institutions of social and spiritual revival, economic
revival and demographic revival. The novelty is that Croats
expelled from Serbia and areas of Bosnia-Herzegovina which are not
included in the Croat-Muslim Federation, would be included in the
reconstruction program.
Minister Radic gave a detailed description of the plan of
return, adding that some 115 000 displaced should return to their
homes by the end of this year or by the beginning of the next year.
