The talks focused on the current situation of negotiations
on the regional arms control which are taking place in Vienna in
line with the Dayton peace accords and in the organisation of the
OSCE, the statement said.
The Croatian delegation had a very important and positive
role in the negotiations, Eide said.
Croatia favoured firm mechanisms of international arms
control in the region with the aim of making the Southeastern
Europe a peaceful and safe area, the Croatian foreign minister
said.
Granic also expressed hope that the negotiations would end
this June, as had been envisaged by the Dayton Peace Agreement.
