Croatian Foreign Minister, Mate Granic, who signed the
agreements on behalf of Croatia, described the ceremony as
"progress in bilateral relations".
On behalf of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the
agreements were signed by a state minister in the British Foreign
Ministry, Nicholas Bonsor, who is currently visiting Croatia.
The agreements would pave the way for the development of
cooperation in tourism and improvement of air traffic between the
two countries, Bonsor said after the signing ceremony.
Granic said he had talked with Bonsor about the situation in
the region, especially in connection with the Rome agreements on
the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Croatia appreciated Great
Britain's support for the reintegration of the Croatian Danubian
area and Croatia's efforts to join European integration processes
and security organizations, especially the Partnership for Peace,
Granic stressed.
