During the talks, minister Granic expressed his hopes for a
successful cooperation between Croatian authorities and the
European Union Mission, according to a statement issued by the
Croatian Foreign Ministry.
Following the liberation of most of the occupied territory
and the passage of the latest U.N. Security Council Resolution,
Croatia was ready to establish its authority in the whole of its
region, said Minister Granic, adding that this meant that the EC
mission's role and cooperation mechanisms in Croatia would need to
be redefined.
Minister Granic expressed his satisfaction with good results
of talks between the Croatian and Italian delegations in Rome, the
topic of which was the protection of Croatian and Italian
minorities in the two countries, the statement says.
