The SDA pre-election program offered cooperation to all other
political organisations which had similar aims, with the most
important one being the preservation of Bosnia-Herzegovina as an
whole state, Ganic said. So far, negotiations had been conducted
with the Citizens' Democratic Party, which was a small political
organisation and was active only in the Sarajevo area. It also did
not participate in bodies of authority, Ganic said. He added that
the SDA would step up negotiations in the next period.
According to Annex 3 of the Dayton peace agreement, elections
should be held within six, that is, nine months at the latest after
the agreement has taken effect. The peace agreement was signed in
Paris on 14 December, 1995.
The aim of the SDA in the coming elections was not only the
victory, but the integration of the country, Ganic said.
Speaking about relations between the SDA and the Croatian
Democratic Union (HDZ) branch in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ganic stressed
that those relations would depend on the future cooperation of the
two parties in the Parliament.
