NEW BOSNIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ELECTED

SARAJEVO, Jan 31 (Hina) - Members of the Constitutional Assembly of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina today elected the new Federal Government. With votes of only one con and two abstained, most of the members voted in favour of a new government structure suggested by Federation President Kresimir Zubak. Zubak stressed that the new government comprised of experts of whom there are six with doctor's degrees, two Masters of Science, four economists, four electrical engineers, three lawyers and two doctors. The average age of Government officials is 46.
SARAJEVO, Jan 31 (Hina) - Members of the Constitutional Assembly of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina today elected the new Federal Government. With votes of only one con and two abstained, most of the members voted in favour of a new government structure suggested by Federation President Kresimir Zubak. Zubak stressed that the new government comprised of experts of whom there are six with doctor's degrees, two Masters of Science, four economists, four electrical engineers, three lawyers and two doctors. The average age of Government officials is 46. #L# Zubak said that in the future all legal and political obstacles in the path of Government's work should be removed. Croatian representatives had already made a move in this direction with their decision of gradually handing of the Bosnian Croat jurisdiction over to the Federation. The same would be expected from Bosniac representatives. Izudin Kapetanovic from Tuzla with a Doctorate in electrical engineering, was elected as the new Premier. Doctor of economics, Drago Bilandzija was elected Vice Premier and Finance Minister. His Deputy is Mirsada Curcic-Selimovic. Other elected ministers are: 1. Vladimir Soljic - Defence Minister (Hasan Cengic as Deputy) 2. Avdo Hebib - Interior Minister (Jozo Leutar as Deputy) 3. Mato Tadic - Justice Minister (Zijad Hasis as Deputy) 4. Enver Kreso - Minister of Energy Supply, Industry and Mining (Perica Jukic as Deputy) 5. Rasim Gacanovic - Transport and Communications Minister (Pavo Boban as Deputy) 6. Ferid Alic - Social Politics, Refugee and Migrant Affaires Minister (Damir Ljubic as Deputy) 7. Bozo Ljubic - Health Minister (Ibrahim Ramic as Deputy) 8. Fahrudin Rizvanbegovic - Education, Science, Culture and Sports Minister (Simun Musa as Deputy) 9. Nikola Grabovac - Trade Minister (Amir Zukic as Deputy) 10.Ibrahim Morankic - Enviroment Minister 11.Ahmed Smajic - Water Management and Forestry Minister 12.Martin Raguz - Minister Without Portfolio 13.Nedjeljko Despotovic - Minister Without Portfolio Zubak told the Constitutional Assembly that Vladimir Soljic ceases to be a member of the Croatian Parliament as he was elected Minister of Defence. The new Federation Prime Minister, Kapetanovic, said that the Government's main tasks would be strengthening the country's defence system and ensuring property and personal safety of all its citizens.
