VIENNA, Jan 15 (Hina) - Delegations of five signatories to the
Dayton agreement will continue their talks on regional control and
restriction of weapons in the OSCE headquarters in Vienna on
Tuesday, January 16. #L#
Under the Dayton accord, all parties were to hand in reports
on their country's military arsenal for five types of weapons by
January 13. The Croatian delegation handed in their report on time
to the chairman's personal envoy, Norwegian General Vigleid Eide,
and asked him to hand the report to other parties at the talks
after they have submitted theirs.
However, the delegation of the Belgrade government has still
not sent in their report by Monday, 15 January. General Eide is in
contact with the delegation of the so-called Federal Republic of
Yugoslavia and is trying to have them carry out this regulation of
1B annex of the Dayton agreement.
In the first round of negotiations held on January 4 and 5,
Croatian delegates warned of certain efforts to postpone or fail to
carry out this part of the agreement and announced that the failure
to submit reports on heavy-weapon arsenals would be considered a
serious violation of the Dayton peace accord.
