The two sides agreed to try and achieve normalisation by
dealing with concrete issues. It was agreed to normalise road,
railway and post traffic, and to resolve the issue of an air
transit over Croatia, in which Croatia had a substantial financial
interest.
The two delegations also agreed to observe the Erdut-Zagreb
Agreement on the peaceful reintegration of eastern Slavonia,
Baranja and Western Srijem, to uphold its implementation and the
establishment of interim authorities in eastern Croatia.
Both delegations fully supported the Dayton Agreement and its
implementation.
The two sides further agreed to defuse the political momentum
of the missing persons problem and to disclose all missing persons
data. Missing Persons Commissions from both sides would meet next
week to discuss concrete issues.
The two sides also agreed to speed up the former Yugoslavia
succession process.
The Yugoslav side welcomed Croatia's decision to cancel time
limits for the return of Serbs who had left Croatia and for their
claiming property rights in Croatia.
The Croatian side demanded that ethnic Croats in Serbia be
granted full civil and national rights. Croatia was ready to grant
all such rights to ethnic Serbs in accordance with reciprocity
criteria.
Both sides agreed on communication mechanisms which would
facilitate the implementation of all concrete arrangements.
The Yugoslav side granted the Croatian request for issuing
accreditations to Croatian reporters in Belgrade.
