VIENNA, Jan 3 (Hina) - The Austrian Caritas demanded from the
Austrian government that the process of the return of some 20,000
Bosnian refugees, currently accommodated in Austria, should start
only when 'concrete living conditions in Bosnia-Herzegovina allow
it', president of the association Franz Kueberl told a press
conference in Vienna today. #L#
Kueberl demanded that a 'gradual plan' be devised which would
provide for the return only when 'physical and legal security,
respect for human rights and certain minimum of future prospects
for these refugees are guaranteed'.
Kueberl proposed that the first step in the return of Bosnian
refugees should be to send a group of representatives of refugees
to their home country to investigate the situation in their
country.
