ZAGREB, Nov 7 (Hina) - The Croatian President's Chief-Of-Staff
Hrvoje Sarinic on Friday received Peter Rickets, deputy political
director with the British Foreign Office, a statement from the
President's office said.
The two officials stressed the need and mutual wish to widen
economic cooperation and investments in Croatia.
Speaking about the completion of the peaceful reintegration of the
Croatian Danube river region, Sarinic said that all conditions for
the successful completion of the UNTAES mandate on 15 January, 1998
have been created.
Explaining the latest Croatian proposals regarding the Federation
of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sarinic said they were the basis for
negotiations which should facilitate the final solution of the
Bosnian crisis.
Attending the meeting were also the President's advisor on foreign
affairs, Neven Madey, and the British Ambassador to Croatia, Colin
Munro.
