ZAGREB, 20 Oct (Hina) - The Presidential Chief-of-Staff Hrvoje Sarinic on Monday received the head of the mission of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Zagreb, Tim Guldimann, a statement from the
President's office said.

Sarinic on Monday received the head of the mission of the
Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in
Zagreb, Tim Guldimann, a statement from the President's office said.

Guldimann informed Sarinic about the past and future
activities of the OSCE mission in Croatia. He expressed satisfaction
with the moves the Croatian government made recently.
Sarinic said he was convinced that, following the latest
positive steps taken in the reintegration of the Croatian Danube
river region, there was no need for the U.N. to stay in the region
after 15 January, 1998.
Present at the meeting were also the President's advisor on
foreign policy Neven Madey and Deputy Chief-of-Staff Vesna Skare-
Ozbolt, the statement said.
