ZAGREB, Oct 23 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman's chief-
of-staff, Hrvoje Sarinic, on Thursday received Kai Eide, the UN
Secretary-General's special envoy to Bosnia-Herzegovina, the
President's office said in a statement.
The Sarinic-Eide talks revolved round the current situation and the
development of the peace process in Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as
plans for the continuation of the international presence in that
country as of June 1998.
The UN official notified Sarinic of problems in the establishment
of federal police in some cantons of the Bosnian Croat-Moslem
Federation, and that it was necessary to find immediately solutions
for such issues.
Sarinic reaffirmed Croatia's support to the peace process through o
the further implementation of the Washington and Dayton
agreements.
Tudjman's foreign affairs advisor, Neven Madey, took part in the
talks, the statement concluded.
