CROAT
$ MUNICIPALITIES
MOSTAR, Sept 29 (Hina) - The head of the OSCE mission to Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Robert Frowick, has expressed concern at the fact
that local HDZ officials have continued to advocate the creation
of a community of Croat-controlled municipalities in Mostar.
In his statement, published by the Mostar-based OSCE office
on Monday, Frowick said that Mostar HDZ (Croatian Democratic
Union) party branch's officials were speaking of the
establishment of the community of the Croat municipalities in
Mostar, despite an agreement between the Bosnian HDZ party and
the OSCE of 12 September on halting the activities aimed at
setting up that "illegal community".
The OSCE mission is ready to use all available means to
ensure the respect for the agreement on Mostar, according to
Frowick's statement,
This southern Bosnian city is administratively divided into
six municipalities - three of which have a Moslem (Bosniak)
majority and three of which have a Croat majority - and into the
central administrative zone.
