Penic informed Munro about the details of cooperation
between the Croatian Interior Ministry and some police structures
in Great Britain and British officials in international bodies
currently located in the Danube river region and southern part of
Croatia.
Penic informed Munro about the activities of the
Transitional Police Force, expressing hope that despite expected
increased traffic, the opening of the border towards Yugoslavia
would be organised and under full control of Croatian police
forces.
Penic expressed wish for the establishment of formal
bilateral relations between the Croatian and British police
forces, and the improvement of cooperation.
The two officials also discussed joint actions concerning
cooperation and harmonised action in securing order and peace on
sports courts during football matches, which was judged one of
the priority tasks of the two countries.
