Penic reminded the awarded members of President Tudjman's
requests and commands presented at Monday's ceremony of handing-over
the new Interior Ministry building, according to which the Croatian
police should be the first force to guarantee the overall security
in Croatia.
That security will guarantee foreign investments in Croatia,
as well as the further development of tourism, so that the Croat
people could enjoy the welfare in its own state, Penic said, adding
the role of the police was very important.
'I respect and believe in the Croatian police, who were the
creators of the glorious Croatian army, without which there would be
no Croatian state', Penic said in the new Interior Ministry building
in the Zagreb suburb of Kustosija.
