JAJCE, Sept 14 (Hina/Habena) - The Jajce Municipal Committee of the
Croatian Democratic Party of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday made a
protest to the head of the Bosnian mission of the Organization for
Security and Cooperation in Europe, Robert Frowick, and OSCE's
regional centre in Bugojno, on account of the impossibility of a
number of regularly registered voters to vote first by absentee
ballot in Austria and Germany, and then in Jajce, Bosnian Croat news
agency Habena reported.
According to a note OSCE sent to Bugojno last evening, Frowick
permitted 50-100 Diaspora returnees to vote in Jajce. But, Habena
said, the number of those who were not able to cast their ballots
was much higher, about 250.
New directions in line with a decision of the Temporary
Election Commission reached OSCE's regional office in Bugojno today
around noon. Every person in possession of a registration slip to
vote either in or outside BH may vote with an unverified
registration slip at any of the 11 polling stations in Jajce.
According to the Commission, there are more than 100 such slips in
Jajce, Habena said.
The Commission said 6,548 persons (75 percent) had voted in
Jajce by 11.00 hours Sunday, Habena concluded.
