A Macedonian army patrol spotted a group of some ten
Albanian citizens who were trying to cross the border and enter
Macedonia illegally.
In an attempt to prevent the illegal crossing, the patrol
opened fire and the Albanian group returned fire. Two Albanians
were killed and one was wounded in the shooting, the statement
said.
