Zvornik municipality (eastern Bosnia), in the part of the separation zone under Federation control, Tuzla Canton police said in a statement.
TUZLA, 15 Aug (Hina) - Two Bosniaks were killed and one was
wounded in an attack of a group of Serb terrorists, who Friday
morning opened machine-gun fire at a group of Bosniaks who were
gathering firewood in the village of Laze, Zvornik municipality
(eastern Bosnia), in the part of the separation zone under
Federation control, Tuzla Canton police said in a statement. #L#
The terrorists are most probably members of Karadzic's
special police units, the statement said.
According to eyewitnesses, the Bosniaks were driving in a
tractor when they ran into the ambush. The site of the incident
was visited by the Canton Interior Minister Mirza Jusufovic and
Prefect Sead Jamakosmanovic, accompanied by investigating police.
The Stabilisation Force (SFOR), the International Police
Task Force (IPTF) and other international organisations have been
informed about the incident, the statement said.
