SARAJEVO, July 25 (Hina) - During his one-day visit to Sarajevo, German Foreign
Minister Klaus Kinkel on Friday said the German Government wishes to step up +
the
return of refugees to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
We want to assist the BH authorities to create conditions on the ground for a
humane return of refugees, Kinkel told reporters.
Together with the German Government's newly appointed commissioner for
refugee return issues Dietmar Schlee, Foreign Minister Kinkel today met with +
the
chairman of the BH Presidency, Alija Izetbegovic, and Presidency member +
Kresimir
Zubak, who, according to Kinkel, showed full understanding for the German
Government's standpoints.
Momcilo Krajisnik, the third member of the BH Presidency, did not show up in
Sarajevo. According to the German Foreign Minister, the non-appearance is one +
sign
of the situation in the Bosnian Serb entity.
The international community will support those Bosnian Serb forces who want to
implement the Dayton peace accord, Kinkel said. Republika Srpska President +

Plavsic showed willingness to do so, and as long as she is ready to meet the
undertaken commitments, she will remain our partner, he added.
All war criminals must be turned over to The Hague tribunal, Radovan Karadzic
in particular, Kinkel reiterated.
Today, the German Foreign Minister opened a special information centre for the
return of refugees, to be financed by the German Development Ministry.
