SARAJEVO, Aug 2 (Hina) - At a session in Sarajevo which ended
late last night, the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina failed to
agree on the deployment of BH ambassadors abroad, thus failing to
meet the deadline set to solve this issue at a conference in
Sintra.
BH Foreign Minister Jadranko Prlic told reporters after the
session that because of non-compliance with the deadline,
international high representative for BH Carlos Westendorp
announced he would recommend a decrease in the level of
international diplomatic relations with BH.
The final decision on the matter is expected to be reached
at a Saturday meeting Westendorp is to hold with representatives
of Contact Group member-countries.
Even though the BH Presidency's yesterday meeting had been
called on Westendorp's suggestion, Bosnian Serb representative at
the Presidency Momcilo Krajisnik again failed to attend. The
Presidency's chairman, Alija Izetbegovic, left the meeting
shortly after it started. He was replaced by Haris Silajdzic.
