ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Wednesday received a letter from UN special rapporteur for human rights, Elisabeth Rehn, expressing gratitude for the possibility of exchanging views on the human rights
situation in Croatia, the President's Office said in a statement on Wednesday.

As you might know, in my reports and public statements I have
always pointed out the positive stance of the Croatian authority
regarding the human rights mechanisms in general, especially concerning
its work. I remain confident in the continuation of strengthening of
human rights in Croatia. Du ring my mandate I am determined to continue
working in that direction and am convinced that I will continue to have
the cooperation of your government.
