"SFOR should stay in Bosnia-Herzegovina because its job there has
still not been completed," Kovacevic said in a speech before
parliamentary representatives of 40 Council of Europe member-states.
Explaining why he supported the extension of the SFOR mandate,
Kovacevic said that "war criminals in Bosnia-Herzegovina still have
political influence, while refugees and displaced persons cannot return
to their homes, especially to Republika Srpska."
"The international community has so far invested to much effort and
financial means," Kovacevic said, adding that SFOR's withdrawal before
the completion of the mission could cause a new regional problem.
