MOSTAR, Mar 28 (Hina) - Under the supervision of Bosniak (Muslim)
authorities, an Eastern Mostar public utility company on Friday
afternoon began with the removal of "sleeping policemen" on the
Bulevar road, passing through the Donja Mahala district, Mostar TV
station said.
In a 26 March letter to the President of the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Vladimir Soljic, and his deputy Ejup Ganic,
deputy high representative Michael Steiner demanded, among else,
that the "sleeping policemen" be removed from that Mostar street by
12.00 hours of 29 March and that joint police forces be established
in accordance with yesterday's meeting of the Interior Minister of
the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Valentin Coric, and his deputy
Sefkije Dziha.
The Bulevar road, in the Bosniak-controlled Donja Mahala, was
the site where vehicles with Herzeg-Bosnian license plates were
most frequently stoned.
