MOSTAR, Feb 28 (Hina) - The head of the Hercegovina-Neretva
cantonal government, Mijo Brajkovic, sent a letter to the head of
that canton, Fatima Leho, on Friday proposing that cantonal deputy
interior minister Sefkija Dziho be dismissed from office.
In explanation of the proposal, Brajkovic said that cantonal
interior minister Valentin Coric had initiated proceedings for
removal from office of his deputy because of his involvement in the
incident in Mostar on February 10.
Coric's initiative followed criminal proceedings against Dziho
instituted by the public prosecutor's office in Mostar.
Brajkovic said that, in line with article 50 of the cantonal
constitution, Dhiho could not hold the post of deputy interior
minister.
