ZAGREB, Dec 3 (Hina) - The goal of Croatian tourism in the next +decade is to realise a US$8 or 9 billion revenue, Croatian Premier +Zlatko Matesa told the government's Thursday session, at which a +tourism development strategy was
adopted.+ The strategy, drafted by the Croatian Tourism Ministry, focuses on +privatisation, the development of accommodation facilities, +especially small family hotels and other accommodation facilities +with local characteristics, the development of new tourist +services, and clubs within hotels and tourist camps.+ The government envisaged US$32 million of non-payable funds for +tourism in 1999, to be earmarked through direct transfers from the +state budget and obtained through subsidies.+ Tourism will also be stimulated through loans from the Croatian +Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and for the first time, by +credit-financing family tourist
