CRO FOREIGN MINISTRY DELEGATION VISITS SOUTH-EAST ASIA

ZAGREB, Nov 30 (Hina) - A Croatian delegation headed by Assistant Foreign Minister Vera Tadic on Monday visited the People's Democratic Republic of Laos, beginning an official visit to countries in south-east Asia, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. This is the first Croatian delegation at this level to visit Laos. Delegation members held talks with Amphone Phiphakphommachanho, the head of Laos's Foreign Ministry's Sector for Europe and America, along with the deputy main deirector of the sector for international cooperation of Premier Bountheuango Mounlasye's office, and with deputy Trade and Tourism Minister, Sieosavato Savengsuksu. During the talks both sides expressed their desire to improve mutual political and economic cooperation. The delegations discussed possible cooperation in international multilateral organisations, along with the possibility of signing bilateral agreements to mutual interests. The Laos delegation showed special interest in Croatia's experience in the implementation of modern technology, transport and especially Croatia's experience in the development of the tourist sector, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said.
