ZAGREB, Sept 28 (Hina) - The preparations for the health care of the
faithful during the Pope John Paul II's visit to Croatia between
October 2 and 4 are finished.
Numerous medical crews will be taking care of the health of the
faithful in Split and Marija Bistrica, as well as on all roads and
highways by which the faithful will arrive, Health Minister Zeljko
Reiner told Hina.
The number of people on duty in Split-Dalmatia County and Krapina-
Zagorje County hospitals along arrival routes will be increased.
Medical crews consisting of two Croatian Red Cross volunteers, a
nurse and a nun will be stationed in Marija Bistrica, north of
Zagreb, and in Znjan, in Split.
Such medical crews will also be positioned on side stations by roads
along which the faithful will be arriving on foot.
About 600 health workers will be taking care of the pilgrims.
Mobile hospitals will also be available in Marija Bistrica and in
Znjan, Minister Reiner said.
The Croatian Ministry of Health on Monday made recommendations as
to what the faithful should bring along, offered health advice and
instructions.
