MOSTAR, Sept 2 (Hina) - The international community has secured
funds for the reconstruction of 130 houses in the Mostar area,
Martin Garrod, head of the regional Office of the High
Representative, said in Mostar on Wednesday.
The houses are intended for Croat returnees, Garrod said.
He announced a possibility of investing seven million German marks
in the reconstruction of Mostar airport and called on the town
leadership to take part in reconstruction plans.
High Representative Carlos Westendorp has decided that Mostar
airport should be under control of a transitional administration
committee for the next six months, Garrod said.
The committee would include three Croat and three Bosniak members
and be chaired by an international representative, Garrod added.
A Bosniak house was mined last weekend in Stolac, south-east of
Mostar, UN spokeswoman Kelly Moore told reporters.
No one was injured in the incident, she added.
