RECONSTRUCTION OF TRANSMISSION LINE IN CENTRAL BOSNIA BEGINS

( Editorial: --> 6489 ) TRAVNIK, Aug 28 (Hina) - The US Ambassador to Bosnia Richard Kauzlarich and Central Bosnia Canton Prefect Adnan Terzic on Thursday opened works on the reconstruction of a 110kV transmission lines between the towns of Travnik and Jajce. We have and will continue to invest in the reconstruction and development of Bosnia and especially the Central Bosnia Canton, Kauzlarich said in Travnik. He called on local residents to invest in their future by voting at the upcoming election for people and parties which genuinely advocate the implementation of the Dayton peace agreement. The means for the reconstruction of the transmission line were ensured by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). According to USAID director for Bosnia Craig Buck, the Agency on Thursday signed an amendment to an agreement on Bosnia for an additional DEM111 million to be used in the Central Bosnia Canton. Kresimir Zubak, the Croat member in Bosnia's collective Presidency, called on efforts for the restoration of mutual trust and the organisation of Bosnia as a state which will be ready to be integrated into western, democratic institutions.
