KOSOVO: FIVE ALBANIANS KILLED WHILE FIGHTING CONTINUES

( Editorial: --> 6479 ) PRISTINA, July 8 (Hina) - The Kosovo Information Centre on Wednesday reported fierce frontal fighting between Serbian and Albanian forces near the village of Morina, on the Yugoslav- Albanian border. Serbian forces are using heavy artillery, the same source said. So far this is the most extensive direct clash between Serbian and Albanian forces and it is assumed there are victims on both sides. Smaller clashes have been reported in other parts of Kosovo, the same source said. Police in Serb-controlled Djakovica are arresting Albanian citizens. Five Albanians have been arrested in Djakovica since Saturday, the Centre reported. Fire was opened from Serbian villages onto the Albanian village of Caber, in the Zubin Potok municipality (near Leposavic, which is the only Kosovo municipality with a Serb majority).
